Ghouls

***I thought I would repost this one as it is relevant to the previous posts discussion. An enlargement of the article....

Well this caught my eye. I wonder what kind of get together there was to plot the "body-snatching"?

  1. Can there be any doubt at all that subsequent necrophiliacs have been successful in opening the crypt and pawing at Valentino’s bones and dust?

  2. Probably not the last time that happened.

  3. I hope they have adequate security for his tomb. This is why people get buried six feet under with a large tombstone.

    1. Anyone with the motive and ability to get away with it, unscathed and unnoticed, could easily open up that tomb.

    2. Anyone with the motive and ability to get away with it could easily open up that tomb. Who would want to do that? Hmmmmm.

    3. I have no doubt there is more than adequate security at Hollywood Forever to keep all mischief at bay. The only indignities that occur happen in broad daylight, fully sanctioned by the administration. Lipstick prints on crypt marble must be a pain to clean.

  4. A little bit morbid The subject for me, but just wanted to add that The mortal body vanishes în time, but their soul and memory does not. Even if he were to have been cremated as Matacha wished, he continued to slive în the memory of those Who knew him and now în the "memory" of New generations that rediscover him and his legend

  5. I tried to read the insert in the previous post but it was blurry. Glad you reposted it.

  6. On the previous post you mentioned that Valentino's grave could be empty, are you saying that he could be buried in the crypt under another name so he would be left alone.

    1. I have no idea. I said it is possible. I sincerely hope it has never been compromised and that all of this is just speculation.

  7. Yes, it is just speculation, there is no evidence to support that. Just a thought of course. Or just strengthen security .

  8. Money can purchase anything. When paired with morbid obsession over a deceased actor whose earthly remains lie labeled in a box, there is no telling what “collectors” past and present could have made happen.

  9. I would like to think that no one would be so disrespectful to do anything like this. The only case that his body should be taken out of that crypt is for reburrial (even though I think where he îs it's The perfect place, where people can visit his "grave") or for any other "scientific" reason, like a paternity test or something

  10. I suppose anything is possible. Charlie Chaplin's body was stolen a few months after he was buried in 1978. The bodysnatchers demanded a ransom. His widow, Oona, refused to play that game, and the ghouls were eventually caught. Charlie's body was found and reburied under a concrete stone.

  11. Sometimes I Wonder where does The fascination with an actor who's been dead for almost 100 years ago come from. There have been other remarkable actors and celebrities, maybe even better ones or more beautiful. I think he hâd something special, something related to "that other dimension" I suppose, as Mae Murray put it.
And also probably his tragic death at such a young age...

  12. I cannot think of a more beautiful actor/celebrity than Valentino.
