2017

The synopsis of 2017 is online. I will be adding to these posts and fine tuning them. It is a record and a beginning.

  1. This is appalling what you are posting. I hope those you are libeling here are downloading all of this for any future legal action they might want to take toward you.

    1. 5:08: Yes it is appalling what they did and continue to do. It is all documented and then some. I have years of screenshots and proof and a large case file of records. Every word of this is gospel truth. They will have to be accountable for their actions.

    2. That is the problem with and the beauty of the internet. All of the screenshots of what they posted is captured forever.

    3. I would ask what specific point would you dispute? They did all of it. I am reporting on that.

    4. 5:08, Libeling? You must be joking. Ms. Zumaya is documenting. Sounds like you are not happy with it.

    5. Why is it that seemingly not a single soul of the mainstream of the Valentino community wants to have anything to do with your stuff? Not even wanting to utter your name on the recognized legit. Valentino platforms? It's because of trashy drama like this that you have immersed yourself in. To an outsider, it would seem an attempt to create controversy in the hopes of gaining a readership.
If I was new to learning about Valentino and saw this display you seem to revel in, I would turn the other way and not look back.

    6. Ok Windy City Girl: You call my being tortured and bullied nonsensically all these years "trashy drama"? I did not immerse myself in it, I suffered it, I lived it and it was unjust and sick. I have a readership, a faithful, wonderful and intelligent readership who are the mainstream, they are the Valentino scholars, not you. I am not "reveling in a display", I am calling you out for what you did to ruin my honest and remarkable book Affairs Valentino. The book that is still selling, still being talked about and beloved. You and your "platforms" are creaking, old, tired and boring and based on the content of the comments you send in here, I would say you know nothing, care nothing about and do nothing for the honest legacy of Rudolph Valentino. You are a shameful part of the ruination of Valentino's truth. Bullies, and yes I am and have documented it all. 2017 is just the tip of the ice berg.

    7. All of our books are documented, our documentation shared publicly, that is the only legit platform.

Hot Air City Girl, you completely give yourself away when you use the buzz words Valentino Community. We know who you are. You can only dream of having a legit platform associated with your name. At least Ms. Zumaya does her own research and does not claim credit for that of others. Your futile effort to gain readership is laughable.

  3. Oh the tedium! There IS no Valentino Community or “recognized legitimate Valentino platforms.” We Never Forget is the vanity platform of Tracy Terhune (who permits Donna Hill “administrator” status for kissing his butt). Goo Goo About the Boy is the cringeworthy repository of Eleanor Gribbin’s (and formerly Simon Constable’s) embarrassing fantasies about Valentino. Evelyn Zumaya’s books are continuously asked about by forum members. These poor people have their posts deleted without explanation, or are told “we don’t discuss the work of that author here. And I get to lay down that rule because I have achieved greatness by running a FB page.” Terhune in particular is notorious for his censoring in plain sight, with anything Zumaya inflected at the top of his hit list. Just this week, one enthusiastic member had every single one of her posts highlighting a Valentino memorabilia sale deleted by Terhune. She wasn’t having it and called him out on it. In response, he squirmed pathetically. Terhune’s justification for banning her posts? “This forum isn’t a swap meet.” This member was not the owner of any of the items being sold, so Terhune’s remark was malignant nonsense. The reality of the matter is that Terhune was either unloading the items himself and wished to conceal this from forum followers, or, more likely, he was planning to buy the items himself and wanted to extinguish competition.

    1. Nelson Riddle: I saw that exchange on Terhune's tightly controlled "forum". The poor member was just trying to share info. about some Valentino rarities on the market and Terhune swooped down on them like a bird of prey. The bizarre thing is that Donna Hill jumped in and encouraged them to go ahead: "You can share a link to the auction. Why not?". The member then told Ms. Hill that Terhune had shut her down in trying to do just that. Ms. Hill's response: "Apologies, just saw Tracy’s post". Obviously, Donna Hill cowers before the almighty Tracy Terhune just like the rest of the sheep who blindly follow the Relic Hoarding Master.

    2. 5:11, another amusing aspect of this particular drama was Terhune's fellow administrator of WNF, Donna Hill, was perfectly willing to allow this member to link to the memorabilia until she read Terhune's scolding. Hill then briskly backpedaled and bowed to Terhune's authority. The member's inquiry regarding who actually was running things at WNF went unanswered. Meanwhile, Terhune, in an effort to deflect from the kerfuffle, posted an autographed photo from Valentino to June Mathis, an item which is, no doubt, part of his collection.
      Behold the Valentino Studies Circus!

    3. 5:11: By not allowing people to even mention our books, they deprive people who are obviously interested in Valentino, a wealth of exciting Rudy information. But this is obviously how Terhune maintains his own very personal "version" of Valentino, etc. Think of all the information about Valentino he and his faithful dogs are preventing their followers from even discussing... the Mennillo history and the Ullman truth, all those fabulous anecdotes, etc. And I am sure the translations of the Cue and DeRecqueville books would be fascinating to anyone who was interested enough to join a Facebook group. The fact that Terhune and Ms. Hill censor all of that so religiously speaks volumes as to their true focus when it comes to Valentino. We were told in 2019 by "Cindy Martin" that Hill is trying to gain her favor back with Terhune because he was molto infelice she told me about the trade of that stolen Valentino probate case file for one of Rudy's shirts some years back. So that might shed some light on that. I guess ask Terhune why he was so in a snit over her telling me the truth about those records whereabouts? They are public records and she was in the absolute right to tell me that. Fortunately their forums are not the only sources for Valentino news and information.... Whatever their arrangement is over there yonder in the paw paw patch, it is really heartening for us to see the numbers on our podcasts.

    4. That exchange a couple of days ago was Donna Hill having a "deer in the headlights" moment. She realized she had committed the gravest of errors in VSC land (even unintentionally). She had a thought that was independent of her Master. When the member pressed Hill for clarification of why it's wrong to contradict General Terhune, Hill just quietly dropped out of the conversation. Sad and scary at the same time that one individual (Terhune) is has that much power over his acolytes.

    5. Actually, some of us in the Valentino community have had the thought that the person stirring up that cr*p on the Facebook group was planted by Evelyn Zumaya to try to pit members of the community against each other. Sorry Ms. Zumaya that it didn't work as planned.

    6. 6:59: It is sad. What a waste and how sexist of him. I would venture to say Hill has a broader body of Valentino knowledge any day than the General. Not sure now though because a lot has happened content wise.

    7. 7:35, the fact you admitted what the three of you in the non-existent VSC agonize over only highlights what a clown show you have made of your social media platforms (which are virtually unreadable).

  4. Well 7:35: Wow you flatter me thinking I have that much energy. Who could bother organizing something like that? So let me get this straight... you think I wrote and we published all the Rudolph Valentino material we discovered just to "stir up crap" on your forums? And in publishing our books we try and "pit" you against each other? Pardon me for pointing out the obvious here... what hubris on your behalf. I have said many times we have no reason to be as devious as you. Not at all. I do not crawl around under sinister aliases on your forums with malicious intent... err that would be you actually.

    1. I add I have never gone on "those" forums to "stir things up". Never would, never will. What bunk. I do not use aliases to troll forums. Why would I?
