What fun it was to talk Valentino with Arty and Bobby! Thank you for inviting me. Enjoy!
That was a great interview. The world is learning more and more about Valentino thanks to you.
Thank-you. It was fun to do. Art and Bobby made it easy.
The truth about Valentino has been more interesting than the studio fabricated one.
I 100% believe that to be the case!
Enjoyed the interview! Hope you do more!
I do to!
I hope Arty and Bobby invite you back again to talk about Natacha. As you stated, she's a subject that needs some airtime.
That would be a great conversation. !
I used to work part-time for a small indie radio station like this ne that is outside of Chicago. I'm always impressed when these kind of stations survive in the age of large corporate ownership and/or podcasting. They're able to go "outside the box" with their programing.
Art and Bobby have great personalities for radio I think. Its a solid format.
8:02, I agree with you. I like the spontaneity of these kind of stations. It makes for lively interviews and fun listening. Very entertaining.
Congratulations...Kind of like beginning a book tour!
Thanks! It was. Everyone involved in making it happen was so kind and professional.
I offer you my Congratulations as well.
Wow! Such a fantastic interview. Evelyn, you are wonderful “on your feet” and a great ambassador for your work. What a treat that an intelligent, articulate, hardworking person is disseminating valuable research and perspective on Valentino. So, so sick of the tired, endlessly recycled photo slide shows and teary eyed renditions of “my visit to Falcon Lair.”
Thank-you! It was a fun conversation and the time flew by.
Favorite line from the interview: "So Evelyn, when you walked in, did they think you were crazy?". A little humor...but you handled it well!
I'm glad they invited you on the show. I have listened to their show before. Arty and Bobby have a great variety of guests and are always interested in popular culture subjects like Valentino.
I'm a little tardy in commenting here, but I want to say that something struck me in listening to this interview. I didn't realize before how rough around the edges your life has been and all of the twists and turns. I had always wondered what the strong fixation on Valentino is. But I can see now how somehow claiming to, in a sense, "own" him fills a deep emotional and psychological need and gives meaning.
5:44: Your comment is a pristine piece of narcissistic projection and defines your fellow cult members to perfection in regards to fixations, and emotional and psychological needs. Your very comment cries for help. Bereft of kindness, trolling a blog of someone you do not like. Think what you will about me but sending me a comment like that is a desperate move of a lonely, angry person. Not something to be really proud of. I have been in some difficult situations, but I have never had a rough edge in my life. I never will.
Great show and I enjoyed it! Would love to chat with you some time about Valentino.
