I
recall my dominant thought that day being one of amazement that
Rudolph Valentino could come from such a far off corner of the world
to find his incredible success in Hollywood. Even in 2014 it was an
arduous trek and somewhat off the path as the saying goes.
On
this celebration of the birth of Rudolph Valentino,
I share a few pictures of us in front of Valentino’s birthplace and
I credit all the photos to Aurelio Miccoli.

Fabulous pictures Evelyn, anyone can see you had a magical day.
ReplyDeleteIt was and thanks to Aurelio Miccoli. What a perfect host!
DeleteProbably the only remaining home of Valentino that hasn't been torn down. Do you think it's the only home left in the world where he lived? I guess the Alexandria Hotel room is still remaining where he lived for a time period in Los Angeles.
ReplyDeleteIn Aurelio Miccoli's fine book, The Infancy of the Myth he writes about and includes photos of the other Guglielmi homes in Castellaneta and Taranto.
DeleteWOW, que emoción estar en la ciudad y en los lugares que vieron nacer y crecer a Rodolfo Valentino.
ReplyDeleteCuantos sentimientos y pensamientos debieron tener usted, sra.
