The book they do not want you to read. For over a decade those who tout themselves as Valentino experts have done all they can to bury Affairs Valentino in their lies and innuendo. Read it for yourself, as Lady Gaga did some time ago. I must have written an incredible book for it to still be their target after a decade and counting. Affairs Valentino is available on Amazon and on all book selling venues. #affairsvalentino

Excerpts of Samuel Roth's Fake Diary of Valentino
On p. 221 in Affairs Valentino, I reference a "Dollar Book" imprint which appeared in 1931, titled, The Intimate Journal of Rudolph Valentino. It is believed to have been written and published by Samuel Roth who would later serve a prison term for his underhanded literary tactics. I share two excerpts from the book, pp. 207-213 and pp. 225-228, which I also cited in my article titled, "Words of Clarification". (citation from Roth's book, p. 212) This article may be read through the "Links" tab on www.affairsvalentino.com
This fictional diary-format publication was the first of the many "faux diaries" which would plague the veracity of Valentino's legacy with their completely fictional accounts and fantasy-driven narrative marketed as fact.

The Credentials of Dr. Florilla White
On pp. 254-255 in Affairs Valentino, I write about Dr. Florilla White, a close friend of both Rudolph Valentino and Natacha Rambova. They often stayed in her home when they visited Palm Springs. The Palm Springs Historical Society forwarded photographs of Dr. White to me which are included in the book. I was also able to access the credentials and historical records of Dr. White which I found fascinating. These belong to the Palm Springs Historical Society and I share them so others may know more about this interesting woman.

Clarification Regarding the Rudolph Valentino Images
I post the following images to
enlighten and assist those trying to determine where Rudolph
Valentino was when these two remarkable photographs were taken. It
has been brought to my attention that someone reported these were
taken in New York City. For those of us who live in the relative
proximity of Genoa and Sant'Ilario, this terrain appears to be
typical of the hillsides, the flora and architectural landscape. I
share a few images; one historical image of the school Valentino
attended there and a few more to demonstrate the surroundings today.
Perhaps this will help.
Micheal Morris shared these images with
me some time in 2013 or 2014 and used a cropped portion of one on his
Facebook page (see previous post). He told me he received permission
from the Valentino family to use them in a lecture.
If anyone wishes a copy of these images
without a watermark or to learn more about them, I suggest they might
contact a spokesperson for the Valentino family.
In my opinion these photographs were
not taken in New York.
Valentino's Brother to Collect Nine Dollars
On page 99 of Affairs Valentino I refer to the lawsuit settled in which Rudolph Valentino's brother, Alberto was awarded 9$ in damages. The article below is one source for this account which was forwarded to me from the Margaret Herrick Library files along with another article reporting on a second accident involving Alberto Guglielmi.
On p. 390 of Affairs Valentino, I cite the articles I sourced regarding the lawsuit award of nine dollars. The date of this judgement was June of 1929.

Source of the Image of Valentino
As it has been brought to my attention
that the image below is being shared online in various forums on
Facebook, I want to clarify that I believe this particular image was
found on Michael Morris' Facebook page. Michael passed away in 2016
and until yesterday I was unaware his Facebook page was still online.
This image is a cropped portion of one
of two full length photographs of Valentino. Both photographs are in
impeccable condition. Michael believed they were taken in the Sant'
Ilario school of agriculture in Genoa. This has never been
confirmed. I believe both images belong to the Valentino family.
Sharing Affairs Valentino Documentation-Frances Steloff
